Doyle Alexander continued his shocking success for Toronto by holding Texas to three runs (two earned) in seven innings, and poked his head back into the top 10 ERAs in the league at 3.48.

Five Blue Jays had a multi-hit game, led by Tony Fernandez’s four bingles.

Nolan Ryan took control of the game with eight splendid innings for Texas. Toronto needed the assistance of two Texas errors in the fourth inning to get their lone, unearned run against Ryan.

Neftali Feliz surrendered a two-run homer to Jose Bautista in the 9th to get Toronto within a run, but Feliz shut the door after that.

Three Rangers took Roy Halladay to the seats.

A-Rod drilled a three-run shot to knock out Dave Stieb in the fifth. Josh Hamilton was all over the bases with two singles, a double, and two steals as Texas came back to win the series and keep things crazy close in the Expansion Division standings.
