Tommy Bridges hurled his first shutout of the season and allowed only four hits. Nolan Ryan gave up two two-run homers. Ty Cobb had a perfect day with three walks and a single. Cobb has not been living up to the high expectations placed on him so far, but he showed what he’s capable of in this series. He either walked or singled in 11 of his 13 plate appearances, upping his OBP to .398 (13th in the league) and his wOBA to .387 (26th).
